Nel giugno 1994 HST aveva segnalato la scomparsa         della Grande Macchia Nera posta nell&#8217;emisfero australe         che era stata scoperta dalla sonda Voyager nel 1989. A         differenza della Grande Macchia Rossa di Giove, che &egrave;         rimasta stabile per oltre 300 anni, le macchie su Nettuno         sembrano effimere.
